3. Question: Can Webelo leaders walk the course with the Webelos?

Answer:Yes Webelos leaders can walk the course and assist their Webelos (all participants must pay the registration fee).

4. Question: Please define a Siege Engine. Also, do we need to bring materials to build this?

Answer: Here is a response from the Scouter who designed the station
“So you want to know what siege engine to use. I'm sure the scouts have searched the internet and found out information from sites like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_engine. I was deliberately trying to be vague on this. The wall to be knocked down will be lightweight. I wanted the scouts to think about this problem and pick what they thought would be effective. The only stipulation was that they could not knock it over by touching it (i.e. pushing, kicking, etc). So, they have to use an instrument that will knock it over either by launching something at the wall or battering it down. At the winter event they are usually bringing an apparatus that would suffice. That is a big hint and I hope you guide them without actually telling them. Hope this helps! Good luck. "

5. Question: Besides kindling, do we need fire starting equipment (matches, flint/steel, etc) for the Fire Department station?

Answer: Yes you can bring Flint and steel or matches, or other means to start a fire.

6. Question: Is it a requirement to have a sled that looks like the Siberian Express, or is this an option?

Answer: It is an option. We will judge the sleds that look like the Siberian Express and award a prize to the winner.
