What is the Webelos Aquanaut Swim Night?
The Swim Night is a chance for your scouts to earn the Webelos
Aquanaut Badge. The Ojibwa District Activities Committee
will
host the event at the Eisenhower pool on November 20. Stations
will be set up to allow Webelos Leaders to pass their scouts
on
the Aquanaut Requirements.
How do I register my scout?
All registrations are handled by your Webelos Leader, we do not
accept individual registrations and all participants must be preregistered.
Webelos leaders can register their scouts by either filling out
the attached paper registration form or by going to http://ojibwacamporee.org/webelosswim.htm
and clicking on the registration link to use the council’s
online Doubleknot registration system.
Important things to remember about registration:
- The cost is $12.00 for each scout.
- You must pre-register. No walk-ins will be allowed.
- You must register the scouts.
- Make all registrations through your Pack, No money can be
collected at the pool
- There will be 60 spots. Once the spaces are full no more
registrations can be taken.
- Registration is on a first come first serve policy and will
start on September 11 and go until all the spots are full. Any
unit attending the September Roundtable can sign up there.
This is not an instructional course, all
participants must be able to swim and do the requirements. Scouts
should practice prior to attending to ensure that the scout can
pass the requirements.
Important information To Remember
- The Swim Program will start promptly at 6:30pm (arrive at
6:00 to change) and end approx. 9:15pm
- Scouts are not guaranteed to earn the merit badge at this
event.
- The Webelos Leader must be present
to pass the scouts off on the Badge
