What is the Tiger Cub Growl and Prowl? The Growl and Prowl is an afternoon of fun games and challenging activities that will provide an exciting end to the Tiger Cubs first year of scouting and get them ready to become Wolf Scouts.
The Growl and Prowl will begin promptly at 1pm with Registration where Tiger Teams will be formed into Dens. After registering Dens will head to their first station in which they will make a Den Flag. Opening ceremonies will start at 1:35 and Patrols will then rotate each half hour through the stations.
Stations will consist of: Chief Pontiac Trail exhibit, nature hike which will lead into a wilderness campsite, polar bear camp and Boy Scout summer camp. Tigers and their partners will learn the basics of 1st Aid, put together I.D. kits (All about me), create a Fire slide for their scarves, hands on knot tying, and play Frisbee Golf.
Tiger dinner teams will learn how to make Tin Foil Dinners which are cooked over charcoal. Dinner will be provided. The Growl and Prowl will end with a closing Campfire.
All interested Tiger Cubs and adult partners are warmly welcome! Participants will receive a special patch, program guide and craft supplies. Teams need to come prepared with a rain poncho, hiking shoes, jacket, sunglasses, sun block, backpack, water bottle, hat and their Tiger uniform.

  • The cost is $25 per team. After April 18, the fee will be $30.
  • Registration will be open to the first 50 Tiger/Adult pairs
  • You must pre-register to attend!
