To Register with the paper registration form, fill out the form completely, send the form and fees in to William Griffin at the council office. Include unit leader and contact person (if different than unit leader), Number of scouts projected to attend, amount of fees, payment method.
To Register online, go to the link below and use the the Doubleknot registration system. Once at doubleknot, follow the onscreen instructions. To register for this event you do not need to enter your scouts names, only the total number of youth and adults attending.
Upon arrival at the event the unit leader needs to go to registration and fill out a form which contains the actual number of scouts and adults attending. At that time the unit roster also needs to be provided.

Late in May, boy scouts and venturers can participate in the fifth annual Ojibwa District Extreme Spring Event. What is so extreme about it? Well at this year’s event Scouts will be lost on a backpacking trek, will they survive?

On this weekend, the event will take place at Kensington Metropark and Proud Lake Recreation Area. The weekend begins on Friday night at Proud Lake where scouts will begin their trek.

Saturday, scouts will be challenged by numerous wilderness survival tests while they are backpacking a six mile stretch of the Chief Pontiac Trail. Will your scouts be able to Survive?

The Scouts need to be prepared by studying Wilderness Survival Skills. Friday Night Scouts will camp at Proud Lake with their back packing gear. Saturday Morning Scouts will have to prepare breakfast and then prepare to hit the trail. Along the trail scouts will have to stop and complete wilderness survival challenges. The Trail will end at the Kensington Group camp where scouts will have one final challenge, the LOST Cooking Challenge.
There is no vehicle access to the Proud Lake Pines campsite area, Scouts must use only Backpacking gear on Friday night. Troop trailers will be able to be parked and set up at Kensington on either Friday night or Saturday. Everyone will meet Friday night at Kensington and then we will leave for Proud Lake as a group.

The fee for this event is $15.00 per person. The fee includes campsite, patch, insurance, and event supplies. All Adults staying at camp must register and pay. After May 4th the registration fee for any unit that has not already registered will be $20.00 per person.
